I’m Jen Boyd and this is my company, Rebel Paris Tours. I lead walking and cycling tours, and run a monthly newsletter, and a made-in-Paris gift shop.
I believe guiding is a service. I have met hundreds of people on tour from different backgrounds and belief systems and I am moved by how face-to-face storytelling, away from screens, focused on a shared moment, inspires and brightens and brings people together.
I'm a graphic designer from New York. I moved to Paris in 2019 to work as the global brand art director for a major French tech company. For six years I worked in French tech until I had had quite enough indeed.
I became engaged with history years ago while planning a trip to Rome. I was still new to Europe at the time and the Romans helped me put the pieces together. For a couple of years, I found my footing in France by following their many paths. I have benefited greatly by engaging with the deeper context of this very special place and it brings me so much joy to share that with others.
In March 2025, I decided to get out of the office, play outside for the summer, talk about history. I joined the team at Fat Tire Tours as a bicycle tour guide. The experience changed my life and brought me an incredible amount of joy and a feeling of purpose.
I have started Rebel Paris Tours to bring together my passion for history, design and human connection. I am so proud to build this business and share my enthusiasm for Paris with anyone interested in listening.
